Covington Cards
- ♠ Stud
- ♦ Community cards
- ♥ Down to luck
- ♣ Table game
Pick one when it's your deal. Most of these were invented within a mile of the river.
Five-Card
Stud
One down, four up, a bet every street. No draw, no community, nowhere to hide.
Seven-Card
Stud
Two down, four up, one down. Five bets, best five of seven. Arithmetic and nerve.
Criss
Cross
Five community cards in a cross. Play the row or the column, never the middle twice.
Krogering
Seven-stud, but your lowest down card is wild — and so is every card of that rank in your hand. Named for the man who kept dealing it.
Chase the
Queen
A queen face up makes the next up card wild for everyone. A fresh queen retires the old one.
Screw Your
Neighbor
One card, three lives. Keep it or trade left. Lowest card loses a life; a king can't be taken.
Liar's
Poker
Bid on the digits in a dollar bill's serial number. Call the bluff and lay the bills out.
Beat
Charlie
A hand dealt to the middle that never bets or folds. Beat Charlie or leave the pot for the next deal.
In
Between
Bet that the next card falls between the two showing. Hit a post and you pay double.
Night
Baseball
Seven cards face down, nobody looks. Turn until you beat the board. Threes and nines wild, a four buys a card.
